How did you learn to dance?

I'm going to teach a friend of mine how to dance latin music (merengue, salsa) but I can't find the way to do it...Please, help me.

4. I took group lessons and went to weekly dance parties. Private lessons are also really beneficial though.
5. stand still, slightly bend the knees, then bend one more than the other... they've got to get the hip swing down for the merengue. it's rather easy once they can do what I said above. after that, it's just walking around with the hip swing.
6. depends on the kind of dancing... line dancing - go to a club and take lessons (our country club offers free dance lessons) ballroom - go take lessons or have a friend teach you (more comfortable that way) club dancing - get drunk and it will be a piece of cake
7. Well, when i was at a school dance, i couldnt just stand there, so i started dancing with the others and nobody thought i was crazy or something. If you want to dance go dance! It doesnt matter how stupid you dance. dancing is the only way to express yourself. (Not Really)
8. music videos, and my cousin, also look for videos, and just dance and let them immitate but most of all to make it easy tell them to have fun with it....good luck!
9. I had learned to dance when I'm only young. I learnt to dance because of the body movements accompanied together with music. Body movements will help you to dance and characterized the music.
