How would you describe Egyptian dance music?

Outside my window, in 6th of October City Egypt, a wedding is taking place. The loud speaker is blaring the latest and most loved pop songs. Many people are dancing. I’m writing a creative piece and wanted to include details about the music and am hoping someone could help with music terminology or adjectives suitable to describe Egyptian or Middle Eastern sounds. I'm aware there's a vast array of Egyptian songs and summing up all is impossible. If you could give me some clues or suggest a website that would be great.
